Canadian Certified Pedorthists, C. Ped (C), are foot orthotic and orthopaedic footwear experts. They are healthcare professionals who are trained in the assessment of lower limb anatomy and muscle and joint function. What Can I Expect at my Appointments?

After a thorough assessment of your medical and physical activity history, and an in-depth examination of your posture and walking patterns, our pedorthist will discuss all treatment options with you. Since custom made orthotics are ‘hand-crafted’, a 3-dimentional cast of your foot may be required at the end of your initial assessment. Follow-up appointments include fitting your custom orthotics into your shoes, as well as making any on site adjustments that may be necessary.

Canadian Certified Pedorthists are recognized by insurance companies as a preferred provider, and most extended health benefits plans cover some or all of the cost of custom made orthotics when prescribed by your doctor.
